I want to take a walk on the moon
Shoes;
tennis shoes
loafers
knee high boots
thigh high boots or hiking boots
Clothing, cashmere, or silk isn’t optional.
Or an atmospheric temperature-controlled suit
I flip the switch and look deep
in the recesses of my closet, pulling out various styles
of dress with assorted textures that might
be appropriate for such an adventure
What would Armstrong do?
I must think like a guest of this phenomenon,
maybe Galileo’s.
Will I be on her dark side or in her quarter smile
I can’t check the weather app for a perfect day
for this prolonged exertion, it’s a quandary
I’m waiting for the call.
I flip switches in my closet, then why not a spaceship?
I can cook too.
A sad moon diet.
All I need are peanut butter & cheese crackers
I know they’ll want me on board
I can entertain
talk on the effects of eco-friendly gardens
I do hope they have enough room
