Ifs begin early for all of us.
I could talk about diets and such
or save your money for a new car,
and if you got to, you’ll get one?
Not

Cause if you don’t well…
If I lived on chocolate I would
have to be on a diet all the time
If you watch television, your eyes might
fall out, though I’ve never heard of this
happening.

If you ride too far, you’ll get lost
If you don’t pump up the tires
you won’t worry about riding too far.

If you keep your room clean,
I’ll give you nothing
If you don’t change the sheets
then…

If I don’t spend all my money
on books and do chores
I’ll have money for Coffee Crossing.

Or, if I eat this candy
I can either get a new
box or go on another diet.

Or, not doing any ifs
may be debilitating.
